SM³ Mission

Design and implement materials management initiatives and projects for Maryland that will: foster new materials management businesses in Maryland, conserve natural resources, meet climate change goals for 2030 and beyond, and embrace new and more effective measures of success.

Implement Governor Hogan’s Executive Order 01.01.2017.13 as it pertains to the building of partnerships for sustainable materials management utilizing a backbone organization called Sustainable Materials Management Maryland or SM³ as a collaborative and advisory framework for change.
